Bird's NestThe Bird’s Nest Lamp project is the beginning of collaboration between the creative director Nelson Sepulveda and Ay Illuminate. Handcrafted from woven bamboo, the lampshade is inspired by the art of the Weaver bird who builds it's nest with an inherent yet free sense of structure and movement, giving birth to unique and fleeting forms.
Rekindling a reflection on the simplicity and the poetic quality of natural
materials, the Bird’s Nest Lampshade embodies the creative beauty of the
seemingly common and garden things in life. The very antithesis of mass
reproduction, it nurtures light with a vanishing craft.

Ay illuminate created Bamboo M10 together with designer / photographer Mark Eden Schooley. Their successful cooperation resulted in this eye catching bamboo lamp shade. Strong and fierce, yet smooth and refined. An enchanting organic shaped lamp shade that creates space while gleaming on the surroundings with playful rays of light.
